Having already had songs on MTV, ESPN's X-Games, CBS's Vans Triple Crown as well as national radio, Stevens Blanchard started The Conniption Fits in 2003 following his success with the band Motorplant (disbanded in 2001). The Conniption Fits sound has been compared to Jimmy Eat World, Green Day, Foo Fighters, Silversun Pickups, u2, The Police and David Bowie. While they draw on a wide variety of influences, they manage to carve out a unique, pop rock sound.

Shawn Snyder, also from Motorplant, started on drums, Erik Von Geldern held down the bass and Tuck Stocking was the band's fourth member from 2005 to 2007. Shawn left, so Seth Roya joined in 2005 playing drums, then Seth left for family and Shawn came back in 2010. Erik left for Boston and Andrew Martin picked up the bass in early 2010. Andy left the band at the very end of 2011 and Jamie Hosley swooped in and has been holding down the bottom end to the present. Confused? The band is currently Stevens Blanchard (Vox / Guitar), Shawn Snyder (Drums) and Jamie Hosley (Bass).

The band won "Best Rock Trio" according to NH Magazine in 2011.

Reigning from various areas of New Hampshire and Vermont, The Conniption Fits blend their collective experiences and array of musical backgrounds in creating their signature, upbeat, Rock sound. The Conniption Fits have combined their years of studio and stage performances in developing a chemistry that solidifies them as a mainstream, American band. Having taken center stage at hundreds of shows and concert venues, The Conniption Fits have shared their music with live, cross-genre audiences.

The Conniption Fits officially formed in 2004. The Fits have since performed over 1200 shows all over greater New England and have three full length albums 2006's "Airplane Rides" , 2009's "A Heaping Helping of Perspective" and 2012's "Friends with Benefits & Cash".

The Conniption Fits released their first album "Airplane Rides" in 2006 and scored a front-page review in the Manchester Union Leader (Jan 25-29 weekend edition 2007). The Union leader again honored the band with a full page spread on their second album "A Heaping Helping of Perspective in 2009. Many music insider blogs have picked up on the band and have written rave reviews, among them are Babysue, LMNOP and AMC. Their latest album "Friends with Benefits & Cash" is gaining traction on college and commercial radio fueled by singles like "I Need You (ay-o)" and "The Call". All the albums are available on iTunes and most streaming sites like Pandora and Spotify.

With tons of experience to draw upon Stevens Blanchard and Shawn Snyder have performed more than 1500 shows over 6 national tours and has shared stages with acts like 3 Doors Down, Fastball, Mighty Bosstones, 7 Mary Three, Blue Oyster Cult, Mountain, Warrant, and Cinderella to name a few. They have paid their dues and are certifiably the "real deal" when it comes to performance.
